Your wedding day is a big day for more people than just you and your spouse. Your mom is one who is probably just as nervous and excited as you are. Mom's do so much for their kids (young and old) throughout their life and we are constantly trying to figure out ways to make them feel special. On your wedding day there are so many different ways you can go above and beyond for your mom on your big day.

Have Her Walk You Down the Aisle
Typically, the father will walk the bride down the aisle because of tradition. But, couples are really beginning to change things up and not always go by what has been tradition for many years. You could have both your parents walk you down the aisle to make them both feel special. There is no rule that says you have to choose between one or the other!
Wear Her Jewelry
If your mom has a sentimental piece of jewelry that she wore on her wedding day or that she wears on special occasions, ask her if you could wear it on your wedding day. This is something that means so much to a mom and I am sure when you look back on those photos you will be filled with joy seeing a piece of your mom on yourself on the big day!
Take a First Look Photo Together
Usually couples get a first look picture with each other, but what about a first look picture with your mom?! If you and your mom are getting ready together, have her leave the room while you put on your dress so she can be surprised when she sees you. This will mean the world to you and your mom when you look back on these photos years from now.
Dance At the Reception Together
A father-daughter dance is tradition at weddings, so why not add in a mother-daughter dance too?! Pick a song that would mean a lot to both of you and take a moment to soak it all in with your mom on the dance floor. She will appreciate this special moment with you. Not sure what song to pick? Here's a great list from a fun blog - thefeministbride.com
Don't forget to thank your mom, not only for helping you on your wedding day, but for everything she has done for you. She is one that has always been there for you throughout every step of life, and she will continue to be there for you. What would the world be like without a mom's love and comfort? They are truly the best.
